TO DEADHORSE: SR-11/Dalton Hwy between Fairbanks & Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse. BD CGs, & many pullouts far enough off hwy to feel comfortable. ~1/4 of rd is paved, parts are narrow, rocky & some areas are very slippery when wet. Jun 19 – Lg, deep potholes, esp 1st 20 mi in SB lane, broken & dropped pavement, frost heaves, washboard, shoulders gone in some areas. Pull over & stop for oncoming trucks to pass. No cell service. From Steese Hwy MM 11 at Fox, go NW on SR-2/Elliott Hwy (paved) to MM 73.1, TR (N) on SR-11. MM 0 here & increase going N. MM 18, old rd goes off straight ahead from hwy, spots to park along it.
