Lg level dirt/grass turnaround. BD. Free. O/N. E of Castlegar, off Hwy 3A, exit towards Robson and Syringa Park. Take 1st rd L (Brilliant), cross RR tracks, again take 1st rd L, follow it to end. You will be paralleling the rd you took from Hwy 3A. N49 19.072 W117 38.015. Overlooks riv. Just beyond turnaround, across a Dukhobor walking bridge, is access to extensive trail system. Paulson Cross Country Ski Trails pkg lot at Mud Lake. No fees in summer. 32.3 km/20.1 mi W of Castlegar on Hwy 3. Going W, L off hwy – watch for RA signs on R before turnoff. N 49 14.58 W 117 59.96. 2 entrances/exits off hwy – u-shaped rd, no turnaround required. Room for several rigs. Lg rigs should not take rd to Viking Ctr below pkg area, no turnaround. Pit toilets & picnic tables at Viking Ctr & along trails. BCFS site. Ski trails lead into and out of Nancy Green Lake PP, good for hiking in summer. Linda Williamson #102614 Aug 10.
