BD. No facilities. Free. No stay limit. 14 mi E of town on SR-78, ~MM 27, just after crossing a canal, TR on Whitlock Rd/Rd 460 (gravel, signed). Several BD areas along the L (E) side of the rd w/in the 1st 3 mi, up to the turnoff to the L for Rd 462 (sign down, 32.93777 -115.28848). This is BLM land leased to a gravel company who doesn’t mind RVers but not close to their operations. BLM rangers will prob not bother anyone on this land. Some RVers park here for months. The pkg areas just E on Rd 462, though, are on BLM land, 14-day limit prob applies, & Rd 462 past the top of the sm hill is not suitable for RVs. Near Five Palms Warm Well Oasis (no fee, informally clothing optional). Directions to Oasis: Take sm vehicle over the sm hill on Rd 462, go ~1 mi (rd makes sharp turn to N, rd deteriorating but passable). 32.95148 -115.28438.
