Lg open pkg area to N of closed, fenced-off restroom, & numbered sites (only one entry to E, just S of restroom, check ahead, turnaround w/out unhooking might not be possible). N entry rd has lg pothole, S OK. Any size rig. Quiet at nite. Some shade. Some areas might get muddy if wet. Boat ramp into Oxbow Lake (no riv access), great fishing, swimming, hunting. Oxbow CG (BLM). BD sites. Vault toilets, dumpster. No D (nearest at CA, BLYTHE). $15 (S/A Pass 1/2). $75 annual permit (no discount, avail from CG hosts or Yuma BLM Field Office, 2555 East Gila Ridge Rd, Yuma, AZ 85365 928-317-3200) for unlim use apart from stay limit (also good at Ehrenberg Sandbowl, Squaw Lk & Senator Wash CGs). 14-day limit in 28-day period. Go ~2.4 mi S of Palo Verde on SR-78 to Palo Verde Co Park. Continue 0.7 mi S to next rd to L signed “Colorado River Cibola Refuge” (wide dusty dirt/gravel, MM 77.5, 33.38942 -114.72152). Go E toward river 0.5 mi, TR, then immed L into CG. 33.38727 -114.71277. Any size rig. Boat ramp w/ Colorado Riv access, great fishing. Annual pass allows free use of W & D at BLM LTVAs (but not camping). Also some free BD areas N & S of these established campsites, along the riv – explore first before taking lg rig in.
