BD areas along/near Big Wood Riv (NF), SR-75 N of Ketchum (S of Stanley). Free. No signs. Sawtooth NRA begins ~7 mi N of town, stay limit see ID NOTE on SAWTOOTH NRA. ~MM 133, 6 mi N of town, go E on Eagle Creek Rd (watch for NF access sign), pass by nice horse properties to reach NF. ~MM 134, 7 mi N of town on SR-75, TR (NE) at Sawtooth NRA HQ/Visitor Ctr on FR-146/North Fork Canyon Rd. 17 numbered designated dispersed sites, a few sites lg, most med. Sites 13-17 are along a gravel 2-track across from the D above the North Fork. 13 & 17 can fit 2 lg RVs, the rest are smaller. Sites stay full most of the time. Decent cell service. Sites 1-12 are beyond Murdock CG & the rd gets narrow & rocky the further you go. Cell service fades quickly past Murdock CG. Along N Fork of Wood Riv. Good gravel rd in, go ~0.2 mi, take rd to L around gravel piles to 11 numbered sites, no BD allowed elsewhere. Any size rig. Sites half full on a Tue in Jun. Great views. Maybe see wild goats.
