Central W, restrooms, trash cans. $15 for 72-hr permit, call police 620-441-4401. 3-day (72-hr) limit but can request longer. Coming NB or SB, take US-77 bypass around E side of town, go E at sign for Madison Ave, turn immed L (just before bridge over Walnut Riv) into CG (signed). 37.05658 -97.02658. If you want to use the E, do not park in the pullouts. Enter the loop in the direction to make your E cord closest to the median, & park along the median next to the E. Playground. Fishing. Cowley State Fishing Lake (KS Dept of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism). BD areas, some tables, stone firerings. Free. No posted stay limit. From US-77 bypass around E side of Arkansas City, go 13.4 mi E on SR-166, TR (S) at fishing lake sign (37.10422 -96.7962), TR at “T” at the signboards, take 1st L turn down the hill, bear L (E) to several pkg areas along sm, pretty lake. Rd ends in turnaround loop OK for lg rigs. Other pkg areas to W, check ahead if OK for lg rigs. Signed “vehicles/camping on gravel areas only”. Nice mowed grass areas along gravel rds & pkg.
