Brazos Island Public Land. 2 established camping areas. Free. No restrictive signs. From US-77/83, go 1.3 mi E on SR-48, then 23.5 mi N & NE on SR-4. On N side of SR-4 just before the dunes where the rd ends. Both would be easily accessible by any RV. The one closest to the dunes is very spacious. Along Gulf of Mexico. Undeveloped. No water. Beach swimming, fishing. Good Verizon. Deep, loose sand on beach. 4WD is highly recommended, towing no more than a lighter weight 5th wheel. Motorhomes will probably get stuck on beach; don’t even think of towing a car which will jackknife the front wheels in the mushy sand. Note: much of nearby area taken over by SpaceX.
