MM 105.5, go S, up fairly steep hill, good gravel rd should be no problem for any rig, to mesa OK for several lg rigs. Free. 14 day limit. 1) 5 mi in from SR-24 on Temple Mtn Rd, just before turnoff to L to Goblin Valley SP, limited pkg at info board area to R, 38.65256 -110.65334. Go N on dirt rd from info board area, bear L at fork, 1 site shortly on L OK for lg rig. Rd deteriorates further – check 1st w/ sm vehicle. Can be very windy/dusty. 2) Temple Mtn Rd 4.5 mi from SR-24, on L (W) 0.5 mi before turnoff to L to Goblin Valley SP (38.64724 -110.64808), good wide gravel rd goes 0.1 mi up hill to med-size gravel circular pkg area. 38.64516 -110.64772. Stone firering, OK for 2-3 lg rigs, turnaround room if not too many vehicles parked. Can look from info board area to see if anything is parked there (but coming in WB before it the view is blocked) then turn around & go back if clear. Awesome panoramic view incl of San Rafael Reef. SR-24 ~20 mi N of Hanksville, or ~30 mi S of I-70 x149, go 5.5 mi W on Temple Mtn Rd (0.5 mi past SB turnoff to Goblin Valley SP, paved rd narrows but OK for lg rig), area is on L. 38.65677 -110.66123. Temple Mtn CG West (BLM), multiple pkg areas for lg RVs, shaded tables, fire rings, pit toilets. 1.5 mi W of Temple Mtn CG East, at jct Temple Mtn & Behind the Reef Rds, on R. 38.66778 -110.68554. Pavement ends 0.5 mi W of Temple Mtn CG East & becomes very rough, check 1st w/ sm vehicle. Many other free dispersed BLM sites further up Temple Mtn Rd (incl another gravel lot at ~2 mi, pit toilets, views of Temple Mtn), but deep wash across rd before them could cause lg motorhome to bottom out. . Goblin Valley Rd (to SP) dispersed BD areas (BLM). Numerous turnoffs, mostly to W, most OK for sm-med rigs. Some stone fire rings. Free. 14 day limit. For lg rigs: ~0.1 mi down rd to Goblin Valley SP from Temple Mtn Rd on R (W) side, 38.65219 -110.65727, dirt track loops around & comes back to S side of Temple Mtn Rd at 38.65479 -110.65604. Entire stretch OK for lg rig, various established sites, no worry about turnaround as you can come out either way. Great view of San Rafael Reef rock hills. Many free dispersed private BD sites on L against mesas until you reach Little Wildhorse Canyon. 1/4-mi dirt track to most sites. No Verizon. D & W at Goblin SP for $15 entry fee.
