Sites not too level. Lg cottonwood trees on all but 1st 2 sites. Nearby RR but trains infrequent. Free concerts some nites in bandshell across from RV area. Playground, swim pool (50c for seniors), fenced skate park area, tennis, pickleball & basketball courts. Baseball diamond behind RV pkg area. Concrete walking path. Can walk to old part of town. Festo Lake, pkg areas. Rough, undesignated sites. No facilities. Free. No restrictive signs. Varying tall grass, high water levels, muddy/slippery rds may affect useability of this area. From I-25 x80, go E ~500′, TL (N) on Red Fox Rd (at16th St). Go 1 mi, TL (W) on Fairview Rd, go over Interstate, go 1 mi further to Ayers Rd (good dirt rd). TL (S), go ~1 mi & lake will be in front of you & on R as you continue around the curve, on NE edge of lake. Best for sm-med rigs. W, D in town at CP. Dwyer Jct RA, 8 60′ spaces in area signed for RVs, separate from truck area (truck area is more level). Also 4 15×56′ spaces on R between car pkg & exit, plenty of room for slideouts. Grayrocks Reservoir State WMA. Undesignated sites along shoreline, also at scenic overlook at E end above dam. Vault toilets, dumpsters, boat ramp. Campfires OK. Free. 5-day limit. From I-25 x80, go E to 9th St (SR-320), TL (N), following signs to Laramie Riv power station & Gray Rocks Reservoir. Go 1.8 mi N to Grayrocks Rd & go E 12 mi (paved). Good hard surface graded rd for any RV. WMA is along S bank of Grayrocks Reservoir beyond power station & has numerous entrances. N42 8.109 W104 45.083. Also accessible from Guernsey via paved rd, & from Fort Laramie via badly washboarded gravel rd. Heavily used in summer. Any size RV. Sheriff patrols. Open range cattle. Quite pretty. Wheatland Reservoir #1. BD. Free. 5-day limit. From I-25 x78 go W on Mariposa Pkwy, TL (S) on Ferguson Rd/SR-312, go 3.2 mi, TR (W) on Reservoir Rd (rough gravel), follow to lake. Or, at turn onto Ferguson Rd/SR-312, go ~500′, TR (W) on Palmer Canyon Rd, go to Hightower Rd/SR-310, TL, follow to reservoir (all rds paved). N42.0018 W105.0268. Best for sm-med rigs.
