Cold Springs CG on R, after Lodgepole CG ($16) & before Lottis Creek CG ($18 +$6 for E), 9000′, 6 sites, refuse, fishing, $10. Beyond Cold Springs CG on FR-742, TR onto FR-267, past Tincup, Mirror Lake CG, 10,000′, 10 sites, hiking, fishing, $12. NO camping w/in 1/4 mi of Taylor Pk Res or Taylor Canyon except in designated areas. Open 5/31-9/6. No firewood avail. Rig size, rd conditions, etc: Gunnison Ranger Dist, 216 N. Open May-Sep. 1 mi SW of Almont (9.5 mi NE of Gunnison), E side of SR-135. ~5 sites up to 28′ RV on S side of entrance & 5 sm-rig sites N of entrance. Firewood $10/bundle. FR-860 BD (NF). Free. 14 day limit. 1 mi SW of Almont (9.5 mi NE of Gunnison), E side of SR-135, just S of Almont CG entrance. 38.65501 -106.85802. Entrance rd is very rocky & fairly steep, but short. Go thru the gate carefully as it is ~11′ 6″ wide. After the gate, 2 spots on either side of the rd. 1 is flat, OK for lg rigs. Other more sloped, not as lg, maybe a 30-35′ rig. 50 yards further are 2 more spots (fire ring at 1). Rd drops ~2′ just before these last 2 spots, check ahead if you have a low clearance.
