Valley West Blvd, st pkg. No signs along st. Go E from US-101 x716 (Giuntoli), make immed R (S) at Patriot Gas Sta. 40.90493 -124.083. Park along either side, avoiding driveways & red-painted curbs. RVs & trucks use. No room for slideouts. Many stores/restaurants (Oriental Buffet, Shish Kebab, etc). to REDDING: Six Rivers NF along SR-299/Trinity Hwy. Many wide pullouts, both sides of hwy, some behind hillocks. No stay limit posted (except for official RAs). According to a flagger working with a highway construction crew, there are always a few RVs parked O/N along here and he has not seen any being told to leave. Various size areas, paved to rock access. Nice views of Willow Creek & Trinity River. Traffic noise all night as this is one of few rds from the coast to the valley. 1 level spot, ~100’x200′, ~35 mi E of Arcata, MM 34.5, N side of hwy, 40.92144 -123.697, turnaround OK, sat/solar OK, Verizon 4 bars.
