US-395 at Shell sta in town, TR (S) on Twin Lakes Rd, continue to Doc & Al’s Resort, TR on Buckeye Rd (good graded dirt), go ~2.5 mi to dispersed camp area on R. Another mi on Buckeye Rd is Buckeye CG (vault toilets, no W). Fire permit required, free, from Bridgeport USFS Ranger Sta. Buckeye Hot Springs close by. At end of Twin Lakes Rd, ~9 mi from the dispersed camping, is Mono Village Resort, w/ gas (about $1 less than Bridgeport), propane, showers, laundromat, a bar & restaurant, & a well stocked store. TO COLEVILLE: Pullouts. Between 20 mi N of Bridgeport (10 mi S of Walker), N to Walker (~5 mi S of Coleville) on US-395, are many pullouts, some lg enough for several lg rigs, along Walker Riv. Beautiful drive. Fishing. No Verizon. Also 2 NF CG’s, Bootleg & Chris Flat, $20, S/A Pass 1/2, closed in winter. Chris Flat has 11 nonreservable sites, potable W, vault toilets, hwy noise.
