BD (NF). Free. ~7700′ elev. From jct SR-12 & SR-63, go 2.6 mi S on SR-63 towards Bryce NP. N37.65599 W112.16457. On R is paved pkg lot for Gateway Trailhead. TR (W) on dirt rd next to it. 1) ~1-2 blks in are lg open meadows on both sides. 2) Continue ~1/2 mi on SR-63. Free. 16-day limit w/in 30 or move 10 mi. 9 mi W of Bryce Canyon NP on SR-12, go 4.1 mi S on East Fork Rd/FR-087 (improved gravel but very dusty) to info kiosk on R w/ info on where to BD along Virgin Riv (designated camping only). 10 numbered sites (single sites 1,7,8,9,10 & multi sites 2,3,4,5,6) between kiosk & Tropic Reservoir. D & potable W (tank fill OK) at S end of CG (summer only, $5 for D even if camping there). Showers & laundromat ($) at General Store Apr-Oct. Trash service at CG entrance. RV sites $30, tent sites $20, both S/A Pass 1/2. 14 day limit between Mem Day & Labor Day. 30 day limit per calendar yr. At least 1 loop open all yr. Only 13 RV sites reservable. CG is on E side of SR-63 (main Park rd), ~0.1 mi S of entrance booth, close to visitor ctr & store. Loops A & B are for RVs (generators 8a-8p), loops C & D are tents only. Paved CG rds, gravel & paved sites, some pullthru, all size RVs. CG fills ~noon. Free wifi at visitor ctr. Good Verizon. Solar/sat some locations. D & W also at Sinclair just outside park, $20. Sinclair sta in town has LPG. 13.6 mi E of jct US-89 & SR-12, at jct SR-12 & SR-63 where you go S to Bryce Canyon, go N instead (unnumbered paved rd, connects to SR-22 at Antimony). 1) Go 4.2 mi to 3rd cattle guard, TL immed after crossing guard, go 0.1 mi on good dirt rd. 37.7317 -112.09448. 1 lg open area w/ lg RV turnaround & 1 sm shaded area. 300 degree view of snow capped mtns in May. 0.7 mi in on FR-117, TR (SE) on mildly rutted FR-3626 (37.72788 -112.24854), any size RV. At 0.1 mi the rd forks, FR-3626 goes R & loops back to FR-117, good for any size RV. L fork is unmarked FR-3627, good 3 or 4 lg RVs, then loops back to FR-117, good for several LG RVs but a couple close trees keep them from going on thru. Access to Fremont ATV trail. Also curvy rutted rd, 1/4 mi NW of FR-117, 37.73605 -112.24376, dirt track goes N to 2 sites. 1st is nice lg-rig level site, stone firering. 2nd just after it, not level, lots of trees, can’t turn around.
