Sand Gulch CG (BLM). Gravel, mostly level, wide back-in sites, tables, fire rings. Pit toilet. $7, S/A Pass 1/2. Open all yr. ~10 mi N of Canon City. On E side of town, take Fremont Rd (frontage rd of US-50) then go 12.5 mi N on Field Ave, becomes Red Canyon Rd (CR-9). Entrance is well marked, just before CR-9 becomes a dirt rd. N38.6138 W105.2253. Most sites lg-rig OK. Vegetation is desert grass w/ juniper & cedar trees. Rd is packed dirt and gravel. Elev 7000′.
