2) From x168 go N 1.0 mi, turn E or W on water district rd. 33.67445 -115.80178. Established primitive sites, most good for lg rigs, S side of rd. Area to W is best; sites found up to 1.5 mi. Some level areas & pullthrus. Fire rings. A BLM rd also goes thru it on S side of the sites, but is washed out several places. Best to unhook & check for sites 1st w/ sm vehicle. Pullout. From I-10 x168 go ~6 mi S on Box Canyon Rd toward Mecca. Pullthru pullout on S side of rd is 300-400′ long. When approaching this site, slow down and take your time as there is not much of a shoulder. If you miss this place, there are other places 0.5 to 0.75 mi further.
