Go ~1 mi E from downtown on SR-20, TL (N) at top of hill on Aladdin Rd, toward Northport. Go ~2 mi on paved, 2-lane rd. Bear L on Douglas Falls Rd. Sm wooded park. ~12 sites amid towering pines, overlooking tiny Williams Lake. Free camping; think there is a 7-day limit. Take US-395 ~2 mi NW from town, TR (N) on Williams Lake Rd, go ~19 mi. Little Pend Oreille NWR (FWS). 3 sm CGs. Use only sites at metal fire rings. Vault toilets. Free. 7-day limit (w/in 30) Apr 14-Sep 30, 14-days Oct 1-Dec 31. No camping Jan 1-Apr 13. From US-395 in town, go 6 mi E on SR-20 to Artman-Gibson Rd. TR, go 1.7 mi to Kitt-Narcisse Rd. TL, go 2.2 mi, bear R on Bear Creek Rd, go 3.3 mi to refuge office (log bldg) on R. 48.5138 -117.58302. Office open M-F 7:30a-4p – best to ask which CGs fit your RV. River Camp has 5 level sites (2 OK for more than 1 RV),1-mile paved trail to McDowell Lake. To get to River Camp, after refuge entrance sign on Bear Creek Rd, take 1st L turn to McDowell Lake. Keep to R, cross sm bridge, enter CG. Don’t take RV past the CG – rd narrows, lg potholes .
