Some folks stay up to 3 wks. 11 mi NE of town on US-6, TL (W) on SR-174/Brush Wellman Rd, go 37.5 mi (paved, continue straight where hwy # changes & MMs start over) to sign for Topaz Mtn. TR on rough rd (watch for glass), sites are in the next 2 mi, & there is a pullout at the turnoff. Lg rig can make the 2 mi, slowly. Side rds lead to rockhounding areas for topaz. No cell service. Also, at ~19 mi in on SR-174, after the power plant, rd to R goes to Baker Hot Springs & Fumarole Butte. Soaking pools at the hot springs (not reported as an O/N location). Pullouts OK for O/N pkg, US-6/50 from UT/NV border E to Delta. No facilities. Free. No signs. MM 18.5, both sides, multiple dirt sites w/ trees., trash cans, S side more level.
