Lewis Mountain CG (Shenandoah NP). 30 paved sites, tables, fire pits/grills. No HUs. W, restrooms (hot water, flush toilets), D, dumpsters, coin showers & laundry, firewood for sale. $15, S/A Pass 1/2. 30 day limit. No reservations. Open Apr 9-last Sat in Oct. I-81 x247A at Harrisonburg, go E 23 mi on US-33 to Skyline Dr & NP entrance sta (fee, free w/ S/A Pass). Go 8 mi N on Skyline Dr to CG to between MP 57 & 58. N38 26.3796 W78 28.7078. 3 sites pullthru. Ample space Sun PM-Thu AM. Most sized rigs OK but easier for 36′ or less. Not much solar but best at sites 24,22, 21. Verizon weak, OK w/ antenna & amplifier. Hiking trails. Beware: 12′ 8″ Marys Rock Tunnel on Skyline Dr ~MP 32, ~25 mi N of Lewis Mountain CG (just S of entrance from US-211). W, restrooms (hot water, flush toilets), dumpsters, coin showers & laundry, firewood for sale. D (free). $20 ($17 early spring & late fall), S/A Pass 1/2. 14 day limit. Late Mar-mid Nov. I-81 x247A at Harrisonburg, go E 23 mi on US-33 to Skyline Dr & NP entrance sta (fee required, free w/ S/A Pass). Go 15 mi N on Skyline Dr to CG at MP 51.2. N38 31.8142 W78 26.1691. Loop I, pullthrus. Loops I & C, no reservations. Loop C, mostly good solar & except for holidays, easy to find spaces Sun PM thru Wed. No Verizon in CG. Free wifi in Lodge Great Room, Verizon works on Lodge Porch (great views), avail to all campers. Ranger programs, many hiking trails, waterfalls. Deer roam freely thru CG.
