St pkg. No restrictive signs. Along both sides of unnamed st that circles around Love’s Travel Stop, looping from US-6 to US-6/50/93. Love’s is at SW corner of US-6 & US-6/50/93. Avoid driveways & fire plugs. Can put slide out over sidewalk. Also sm gravel area on N side of st. Trucks also use these areas, but quieter than truck pkg area at Love’s. Silver Sage Chevron Travel Ctr/Truck Stop. Lg gravel lot in rear used by RVs & a few trucks. Clean restrooms, showers ($), D ($15) & W. US-6/50/93, 1.3 mi SE of downtown where US-50 heads W, or 1/4 mi SE of where US-6 heads W. N39 14.094 W114 51.851. If W at D is turned off (winter) you can fill at W faucet at C-Store (ask for key) or at spigot in middle of truck fuel island. Indian owned. Gas (5c/gal lower than all others in town Jun 13) in front, diesel (5c/gal higher than others May 16) in rear. Propane for portable tanks only (expensive compared to Suburban in town Oct 15). Nevada Northern Railway Complex Natl Historic Landmark (NNRC), gravel/dirt overflow pkg lot. BD, no facilities. Free. Ask permission if open. From Aultman St/US-93 in town, go N on 11th or 12th St to Ave A. 1100 Ave A. Just NNE of NNRC depot. Pkg is on both sides of the gravel st that runs along the front of the museum. N39 15.589 W114 52.072. No pkg in lot to R of NNRC. Spacious, level, easy level access. Good Verizon & solar/sat. ~6400 ft elev. NNRC is 56 acres of active outdoor rail yard, landmarks, steam locomotive rides (options to be engineer driving train), $8 admission. Near historic downtown. A dozen or so ghost towns surround Ely. North Murray Trailhead (BLM), med-size gravel pkg lot. Tables. Vault toilet. Free. No signs forbid O/N pkg, although map symbol at kiosk shows it as a day use area. From jct US-6 w/ US-50/93 S side of town, at McDonald’s, go 6.4 mi SW on US-6, TR (NW) 0.2 mi before turnoff to Ward Mountain CG, at 39.21977 -114.96732. Go 1/4 mi on good gravel. From jct US-6 w/ US-50/93 S side of town, at McDonald’s, go 6.4 mi SW on US-6,  TL (SE) just before Murray Pass, at 39.21737 -114.96992. Go 0.2 mi in on good gravel rd from hwy. Steptoe Creek pkg areas. BD. 14-day ? limit. 7 mi SE of Ely US-6/50/93, turn E on paved SR-486 to Steptoe Creek & Cave Lake SP (signed on US-6/50/93). Go thru SP, w/in 1 mi N of SP (rd turns gravel), several pullouts on both sides of rd. W & D at SP (day use fee). Any size rig. SP CGs not lg-rig friendly. No camping outside CGs in SP.
