W spigots, flush toilets, trash containers. $10, S/A Pass 1/2. 14-day limit. 12 mi W of Alexandria on SR-28, at town of Gardner, turn S on SR-121, go 1/2 mi, TL on FR-279/Valentine Rd, go 1 mi, TR on FR-282, follow to entrance of Valentine Lake Rec Area. Northshore CG is at the 1st paved rd to R. 31.24306 -92.68033. The Southshore CG is closed. Recommend 30′ max RV but some sites may be larger. Very pretty lake, nice CG nestled in 80-ft Lodgepole pines. 6 sites are along the shoreline. Hiking trails nearby. Fishing pier. Linda/Fred Lanque #38937 Nov 96. Kincaid Lake CG (NF). 40 EW sites, tables, grills. Restrooms, showers, D. Also a primitive CG, BD sites on gravel/grass & vault toilets. BD $10, EW $15 (going to $25 in 2018), S/A Pass 1/2. Dbl sites $20. 14-day limit. 12 mi W of Alexandria on SR-28, at town of Gardner, turn S on SR-121, go 0.3 mi to Kincaid/Valentine Lakes sign (Valentine Rd/FR-279).
