Dry lakebed, pkg (BLM). 14 day limit. Closed during Burning Man festival in summer. Just N of Gerlach on SR-447, turn N onto CR-34, drive to sign “12 mile access to playa” at MM 11, 40.77217 -119.262.67. Camp anywhere on dry lake bottom. Best place is to R along shore. Winnemucca (dry) Lake BD areas. ~32 mi S of town on SR-447 (~27 mi N of Nixon) go E immed at N boundary of Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation, toward Winnemucca (dry) Lake. Beautiful topography pullouts. SR-447 N to CA. Just N of MM 115, N of MM 118, & our favorite N of MM 126, E side of hwy, very lg gravel pullout, room for many rigs, 1 lg lonely tree, very quiet at night. Song & Steve Judson #12180 stayed May 18.

BD (BLM). No facilities. Free. 14-day limit. CR-1 (Surprise Valley Rd, paved) SB in CA becomes SR-447 (paved) at NV state line, then go ~5 mi S, Wall Canyon Rd turnoff is signed.
