HALLECK, NV

Pullouts, SR-229 (good paved 2-lane), from I-80 x321 W of Wells, to jct US-93 & SR-229 S of Wells. Some moderate uphill grade from I-80 to “Secret Pass”, not as steep the other side. This is a scenic route bypassing Wells with great close-up views of the Ruby Mtns. Several rough, dirt NF access rds go towards Mtns. Mostly private ranch land.
MM EL12 to 13.5, S side, several sm pullouts, gravel piles.
16.5, SW side. 2 pullouts. 1 paved, OK for ~2 rigs. Another goes behind a sm hill, OK for lg rg to loop around & back to hwy.
36, just N of jct where SR-767 goes S toward Ruby Lake NWR & CG, & where SR-229 makes sharp curve, on NE side of hwy. 40.63042 -115.2666. Gravel storage lot, mostly full of gravel, but room for 1 or 2 lg rigs.
48, 2.2 mi from jct w/ US-93, N side, dirt pullout, dbl-ended, sm, ~2 rigs.
