1) Sportsman’s Beach, ~17 mi N of town, MM 65, 38.6915 -118.772. 40 lg gravel sites (~40′ max). Tables w/ sun shades, fire rings. Non-potable W, vault toilets in good condition, dumpsters. $6, $36/wk, S/A Pass 1/2. Iron ranger in lower terrace by dumpster. Paved rds. Upper terraces have back-in sites. 3) 20-Mile Beach, ~23 mi N of town (13.6 mi S of jct US-95 & US-95A at Schurz, NV) , MM 69.5, 38.75202 -118.76559. Dispersed sites. Vault toilets, dumpsters. According to sign at Sportsman’s Beach: $4, $22/wk, S/A Pass 1/2. Steel “iron ranger” box is signed for deposit of “Angler Surveys”, nothing onsite posted about pmt. All sites great lake view. Verizon 4 bars, all sites good solar/sat. Some sites: 1/4 mi E from US-95 on entry rd (washboarded gravel), at jct where gravel rd goes L (N) & good dirt rd (not washboarded) goes R (S), 38.75089 -118.76143, go straight E toward lake, stay on rd where people have driven, don’t get off in deep soft sand. Pkg areas at lake, OK for lg rig access. One dip in rd, so MH towing might want to unhook before driving down. Also Fall 14, rd badly eroded, 1/2 of turnaround under heavy sand, use 4WD or explore on foot 1st. Rd to L: 1) 0.1 mi, pullout for sm rig, looks fairly level. 38.75252 -118.76045. 2) 0.4 mi in, end of rd, vault toilet, dumpster, lg stone firering. Room for a couple lg rigs. Lg-rig turnaround if no one in the way. 38.75628 -118.75929. Rd to R: 1) 0.1 mi, pullout OK for sm-med RV. 38.74951 -118.76057. 2) 0.2 mi in, lg pullthru site across rd & 130′ from vault toilet & dumpster. 38.74801 -118.76129. Lg boulders separate site from rd. Lg rig towing should turn around at end of rd another 0.2 mi down. 3) 0.4 mi in, end of rd. 38.74635 -118.76201. Lg-rig pullthru site, also a short back-in site.
