Hope Hwy, pullout/RAs. No restrictive signs. At jct w/ SR-1/Seward Hwy (SR-1 MM 56.7) go W on Hope Hwy. 0.1 mi N, lg level RA at Canyon Creek sign by bridge. N60.78263 W149.43086. Pit toilets, dumpster. Great walk across old bridge. Launch area for tubing the riv. Also, just before leaving RA oval loop, TR on gravel rd, go 0.1 mi down gravel rd to fork. R fork goes to Canyon Creek under the hwy bridge. BD sites along rd & at end along creek. L fork is narrower, not good for lg rigs, goes to many gorgeous BD sites, some along Six Mile Creek. 10-12, 3 scenic overlook/pullouts along Turnagain Arm. No facilities. Free. No stay limit posted. Pullout at MM 10 OK for 1 lg rig, part is slightly sloped. Pullout at MM 11.1, N60.91995 W149.4922, OK for ~2 lg rigs, part is slightly sloped, but it may be the most level of the 3. Pullout at MM 11.9, N 60 55.433 W149 30.656, has best view, but a slight slope. At least 2 overlooks have vegetation removed for views of Turnagain Arm & the towering mtns to N and NE. 13, narrow dirt rd (OK for all but largest rigs) goes down to sm cove & loops back to hwy. N to S: 1 site in trees next to hwy, 1 sm-med rig. Next, 2 rough-access sites w/ view of water, sm rigs. Next, side rd goes down hill to pkg area w/ superb view of cove & mud shoreline (stay out of mud, like quicksand) room for 1 lg or 2 sm-med rigs, backing necessary. Donald Hickman #102859 Jul 11. Seward Hwy SR-1 MM 57, take Hope Hwy N to end (~17 mi), sign to CG entrance (~0.1 mi), entry rd is 1-lane w/ curve. Check ahead if lg rig. Shaded sites on bluff, 1 or 2 w/ view of Turnagain Arm from site, mostly for sm-med rigs, some very unlevel. Verizon Ext Network. Fishing. Most sites reserved wkends.
