May not be avail during some events, call 406-758-5810. From US-2/Idaho St in town, go N on N Meridian Rd. Look for FG entry on R w/in 1 mi. 265 N Meridian Rd. Check in at office in main bldg. 48.20568 -114.32713. After entering FG, go N then slightly E. Area is at NE corner of FG, on grassy area or pavement along fence. Island Lake Fishing Access Site (FAS). 4 sites. Fee: See MT NOTE 1 below. From Kalispell go ~32 mi W on US-2. Turn N on Lost Prairie Rd (opposite Boisverts FAS) and go ~16 mi to Island Lake. Or, go 38 mi W of Kalispell on US-2 to Happys Inn. At Happys Inn, turn N on Pleasant Valley Fisher Rd & go 15 mi to Island Lake. MT FAS Guide & Rules Documents Jul 20.

Ashley Lake camping areas (NF). Primitive sites. 5 sites (~12′ max trailer length) at N CG, vault toilet, no signs. 1 site on S side of lake, table, toilet, also 4 sites, sm rigs & tents only, toilet at boat launch area. Free. 6 mi SW of town on US-2, TR (W) on Batavia Rd (becomes Ashley Lake Rd S), at sign to Ashley Lake. ~6 mi to lake & rd splits, bear L & go ~3 mi to S CG or bear R & go ~5 mi around lake to N CG. S side rd hard gravel in great shape, except for 1/4-mi spur into CG, narrow, rutted, very tight turn at end. N side rd dirt & torn to pieces by logging trucks. Fishing & boating. Along US-2 from 35 mi W of Kalispell to 55 mi W of Kalispell – 20 mi of shoreline access to 18 lakes. Most roads are primitive, not for lg rigs – park along US-2 and walk the CGs first. Boat ramp.
