Any size RVs are allowed to park O/N anywhere in town that is not signed “no overnight parking” & is not on the travel lane pavement. A good spot is the lg quiet lot behind the Community Ctr where the drawing for “The Wave” is held every morning, w/in walking distance to everything in town. 37.04858 -112.53423. Great cell service. Free. 2 mi S of town on US-89A, just before border w/ AZ, turn E at UT entry sign, rd is paved for a short while, then turns to dirt rd that becomes the rd to the landfill (actually a lg, quiet quarry), then widens into a lg open area w/ many spots for BD, 1 at N37.00086 W112.51719.  Elev 4932′. Hog Canyon ATV trailhead, ~300×300′ pkg lot (BLM). No facilities. Free. 2.5 mi N of Kanab on US-89, E side. N37 4.7137 W112 32.2558. Lot fairly level but lumpy. Not be a good choice when wet. Coral Pink Sand Dunes Rec Area (BLM). BD in lg dry lake bed. No facilities. Free. 14-day limit. Going N from Kanab on US-89, between MM 72-73, watch for signs for Coral Pink Sand Dunes SP. TL, go ~9 mi on paved rd, area is on L before the SP. 37.06788 -112.70383. Or, if coming from the N, there is another rd signed to the SP between MM 77-78, TR. Soft sand in ctr, many vehicles get stuck. Very dusty at E & N end when windy, a mudhole when wet. Stay at SW end or around edges, check 1st. Popular w/ ATVers on wkends/holidays. PHOTO.
