Avoid areas by No Parking signs, fireplugs & truck access to bldgs. W side has ample pkg & turning area, on concrete, lighted (park in far rear behind pine trees). E side is paved, no cars, ample pkg & turning area, horse corrals & dog walks. Gravel lot not exactly level. Bldg on E side has W (for filling jugs, long hose needed to reach). Level pkg on gravel area, up to 50 rigs. Some level grassy pkg. Easy access. Can be noisy/dusty during events. At least 1 50A outlet installed backwards w/ no room for cord. Great Platte Riv Rd Memorial Arch Monument, lg level paved pkg lot. O/N OK. Free. I-80 x275, go 1 blk N, TL (W) on E 1st St, go ~1 mi to lot for oversize vehicles w/ lined diagonal pkg, easy in/out. 40.67036 -99.04247. Some noise from I-80, few or no trucks in lot. Spans I-80, great museum to the Westward Expansion (fee). Picnic area. Bridge to feed carp from. 8 mi bike/hike trail. Other sights worth seeing: Ft Kearney (a stop on the Western Expansion), Nebraska Firefighters & Education Assn Museum just before Arch Museum on same rd, & Rails to Trails Museum . I-80 x279, go S on SR-10 for 3 mi. Turn W on SR-50A, go 3 mi. Or, from I-80 x272, go S on SR-44 for 2 mi. Turn E on SR-50A, go 4 mi. The SRA is 1 mi E and 1 mi N of Ft Kearny Historical Park.
