Spencer Bay CG, Moosehead Lake. ~40 BD sites, tables & fire rings. Pit toilet. No trash service. Free. Posted 2-wk limit but CG host said 3-6 wks OK. Summer only. Good graded logging rds ~10 mi to CG. From SR-6/SR-15 at Greenville, go N on Lily Bay Rd to Kokadjo. Pavement ends ~0.2 mi past Kokadjo at N45 40.3427 W69 26.4034 & rd forks, take L fork onto gravel, go 1.2 mi to where rd forks again & there is a Spencer Bay CG sign. Bear L, continue another 7.4 mi to another Spencer Bay CG sign. TL, road narrows here, & go a full 1.4 mi (do not turn earlier) to N45 42.9291 W69 33.4555. Here the rd splits: Go straight 500′ for 5 sites or L 0.4 mi for ~34 sites. Many sites OK for lg rigs. Easy canoe or kayak or boat launch both areas. Group of regulars & host in summer. Bear L at jct & Cowans Cove CG sign. Go 0.8 mi keeping to L to CG at N45 42.0755 W69 41.0417. Part of Maine North Woods system. Many sites OK for lg rigs. Easy canoe or kayak or boat launch.
