Go around R side of bldg, straight back thru L wire gate, past metal bldg to concrete pad sites behind bldg & newer sites in row further back. 3510 S 3rd St. Sites on mixed dirt pea gravel. I-80 x311, go 8.7 mi SW of town of SR-230, TR on Pahlow Lane/CR-422. 1) Go 4.9 mi to sign for Gelatt Lake on R. N41 14.208 W105 50.213. Entry road 1/4 mi of good gravel. 4-5 lg rigs. Elev 7250′. 2) Go 0.3 mi further on CR-422 to sign for Twin Buttes Res Access Area, TR & immed TL, go 0.3 mi on somewhat-washboarded dirt rd to 1st area at N41 14.098 W105 51.257. Some tables/fire rings. More areas along lake in next 0.5 mi, some rough access, check w/ sm vehicle. Short steep hill in rd before last area (level spot, view), good turnaround. Good ATT. Verizon OK. Elev 7273′. Summit Info Center & RA. 20 RV spaces in 3 loops, away from trucks. Tables (some covered). Potable W, restrooms, trash service. Free. 1-nite limit per staff. Sign “No camping” means no tents, self contained vehicles OK. ~10 mi E of town, I-80 x323, NE side, follow signs. Not readily apparent to EB traffic! When you get to the Info Ctr the 1st loop is on L, signed RV pkg, 8 spaces along the side. Continuing further, 2nd loop splits off to L, 8 spaces side by side in lg paved area, threaded W faucet at N41.23722 W105.43414. Continuing further, 3rd loop has 4 to 6 spaces in a wooded area. Potable W fill, restroom, trash service at Visitor Ctr at interstate. Great Verizon. Nice views. 8660′ elev. Camping allowed anywhere w/in 100′ of the rd. MVUM free at Ctr or online. 9.5 mi E of town, I-80 x323, go N, TL on SR-210/Happy Jack Rd (paved), go 0.9 mi, TL on Pilot Hill Rd/FR-703 (signed, across from entrance to Tie City CG, good wide graded/gravel), 0.9 mi in, TR on FR-703B (some rough spots, take it slow), go up a little way to where the sm trees are, to a level place, or continue up hill to cell towers, several nice spots. 41.26799 -105.43338. From I-80 x329 (~16 mi E of Laramie) go N & E on FR-700/Vedauwoo Glen Rd 1.2 mi to end of blacktop, TL on FR-720, go 0.6 mi (follow signs). N41.158 W105.374. Paved access rd, 2 loops w/ well-spaced sites. Some back-ins, some parallel parking along rd. Several OK for lg rigs. 8200′ elev. Limited shade, mostly satellite-OK. Good Verizon & ATT. S loop has more hwy noise. Hiking trails, scenic views. Can be windy, often busy wkends. Popular rock climbing area. Beetle damage to many trees in area, many removed in lower loop. PHOTO.
