Go ~4 mi W from Casino Dr in town on SR-163 to N35 11.625 W114 38.602, TR on dirt rd, go 4.3 mi. Steep downhill sections, keep L at any intersecting rds. N35 13.973 W114 35.646. Room for any size rig but 4WD recommended for access rd. Lots of beachfront sites along Mohave Lake. Verizon OK. Heavily used by boaters on wkends. Tropicana Express Casino, 2 lg “Self Contained Vehicle” pkg areas w/ use instruction signs at entrances. Upper area “Mohave South” has 28 paved back-in spaces, wide, flat, OK for most lg rigs. Lower area “North Mohave” has 62 paved, flat, pullthru spaces, lg-rig OK. Drinking W, D/W at upper lot ($5 for anyone, pay at Hertz counter, free if paying to park for 1 wk). $10, $50/wk (may be comped for casino play). Before setting up, pay at hotel check-in desk, then pick up pkg permit at Avis car rental desk. 14 day limit (extendable). From SR-163 & Thomas Edison Rd go S on Thomas Edison Rd, cross Bruce Woodbury Dr (~0.6 mi), continue on Thomas Edison Rd ~0.3 mi to sign on L “Tropicana Express”, TL onto good gravel rd (across from power transformer sta). Follow rd to pavement, then TL & bear L for lower lot; TR for D-W and Upper Lot, or TL then bear R for entrance from other end. Also entrance from Casino Dr, turn W at Casino entrance, go straight to back of Casino, has lots of “speed bumps”, traffic. N35 08.974 W114 34.517. Easy in/out, easy to maneuver. Lower lot looks more level. Upper lot more secluded. Park in sites “straddling” white line w/ space #, yellow lines are outer boundary lines. Well lighted, patrolled by Security. Elev 550′. Harrah’s, at end of the strip, pkg lot. RV lot is on S side of gas sta. Was a sm “camping” fee but no longer a place to pay, may be reinstated, unsure if O/N pkg is currently OK, REPORT NEEDED Sep 22. AVI Resort Casino, “Dry RV Lot”. Check in w/ Security (near front hotel check-in) for permit (30 days permitted then can keep checking in for 30 days more after that). Between Laughlin & Needles on W side of Colorado Riv. From Laughlin, take Needles Hwy 11 mi S to Aha Macav Pkwy. Look for AVI sign. TL, continue 3 mi to AVI. Sign on Aha Macav Pkwy on W side of casino says “Dry RV Lot” (been CLOSED for ~2 yrs, Sep 22, lot may re-open but they have KOA CG so not likely, REPORT NEEDED). Check for specials. Pool ($10).
