From jct w/ SR-203 (Mammoth Lakes turnoff) go 7.6 mi N on US-395 to Owens River Rd, turn E, 2 mi to CG. Paved access. ~30′ max. Some sites level. Along Owens Riv. Quiet, peaceful. 7300′. Upper & Lower Deadman CGs (NF). 30 BD sites. Vault toilets. Free. 14-day limit. From jct w/ SR-203 (Mammoth Lakes turnoff) go 8.5 mi N on US-395 to Deadman Creek Rd, TL (W), go 3 mi on gravel rd. Upper CG: 19 very narrow 25′ aprons, no room for towed vehicle. 3 lg dispersed spots on L just before entrance. Lower CG: 11 very narrow aprons, best suited for tents, sm vehicles. From jct US-395 & SR-203, go SE on US-395 ~5.5 mi, turn NE on Benton Crossing Rd (FR-2S84, sign says Owens Riv). 1) ~1.3 mi in (just past Whitmore pool), TL on dirt rd (rough), go 1 mi to top of hill.
