Wild Horse Reservoir BD. ~17 mi S of town (67 mi N of I-80 x301 at Elko) on SR-225 (good paved 2-lane). Beautiful lake, view of distant mtns. 6200′ elev. Scenic drives, mtn biking, skiing, fishing, boating, water sports. Nearest fuel: Elko or Owyhee. Verizon fair “Extended Network”. Note: At MM EL92 on E side, there is a sign and entry rd to Big Bend CG. This is a NF CG ~10 mi up an unpaved rd, not part of the Wild Horse Reservoir area. Options:

4) North Wild Horse Rec Area (BLM). 18 BD sites. Covered tables, firerings/grills. Non-potable hand pump W. Dumpster, vault toilets. $6/vehicle, S/A Pass 1/2. 14-day limit. Late May-Oct. MM EL94, NE side. 41.6876 -115.82043. Across hwy from Wild Horse Reservoir & Indian CGs. 3 group sites w/ several tables & pullthru access, other sites back-in. CG rd is a loop.
