Flush toilets w/ sinks, & vault toilets. 1 handicapped site w/ 30A E (addl $5). $16 ~Apr-Oct, S/A Pass 1/2. Only sites 1-16 & 30 open winter, no W, vault toilet, $10, S/A Pass 1/2. 14-day limit. From Susanville go ~5 mi W on SR-36 to jct w/ SR-44, TR, go ~45 mi NW on SR-44 to jct w/ SR-89, TR on SR-89, go ~0.3 mi, entrance is on L at sign. N40 41.087 W121 25.368. Paved access rd. Most of the lg sites are in loop to R at entrance, open all yr. Elev 4300′. Heavily shaded, some sites partially open sky, some sites lg-rig OK. Hiking. Tour Subway Cave (Lava Tube) across from CG. SR-89, MM Shasta 1, 0.8 mi N of where SR-44 goes E at Old Station, 40.69206 -121.41985, go W short distance across bridge, lg wide open area on R, OK for lg rig. Butte Creek CG (NF). ~12 BD sites, tables, fire rings. Pit toilets. Free. 14 day limit. 2.3 mi S of SR-44 on FR-32N21 (very washboarded). N40 36 56 W121 17 51.8. Butte Lake CG (Lassen Volcanic NP). Designated BD sites, tables, fire pits, W faucets, bear secure food lockers. Restrooms, trash bins. $22, $15 when W is off, S/A pass 1/2. All sites reservable (required for more than 1 nite). 14 day limit. 6 mi S of SR-44 on FR-32N21 (very washboarded). 40.5648 -121.30298. A few sites for lg rigs. Almost all sites pullthru but 2 sites each (1 pull-in, 1 back-in). Heavily shaded. No Verizon. Boat ramp closed due to low lake levels but can carry boats to water. Signed “No Camping” but no prohibitive signs re: pkg. ~2.8 mi E then N from jct SR-89 & SR-44 at Old Station, just after most of climb up hill, MM 65.2, 40.69817 -121.40047. Follow paved rd ~0.4 mi W to lg paved pkg area w/ circular loop. Stay straight on the paved rd, do not TR on dirt FR. Lg paved pkg area w/ turnaround loop. No signs. ~7 mi E of jct SR-89 & SR-44 at Old Station, N side of SR-44, MM 69, take turnoff to a FR. 40.67076 -121.36247. 1st is on L next to hwy (fairly level). 2nd is before cattleguard short distance up rd (not very level). Bogard Trailhead Sno-Park (NF). 22 paved level 70′ spaces. Pit toilet. Facilities at adjacent RA only ~100′ walk. Fee & other details see CA Note 8) SNO-PARKS below. 23 mi E of Old Station on SR-44 (~29 mi W of Susanville), go S at turnoff to Bogard RA, MM 15, 40.58586 -121.08842. Go short distance, 1st R goes into RA, then 2nd R (40.58487 -121.08974) goes into Sno-Park. Slightly unlevel, paved. Could park along N edge & get good solar/sat. Lg turnaround.
