From Glenn Hwy/SR-1 MM 29.6, go E on Old Glenn Hwy (or coming from MM 42.1 in town, go E on Arctic Ave, becomes Old Glenn Hwy, read in reverse), MM 9, Knik Riv Rec Area, just after bridge over Knik Riv, huge gravel pkg area on L (W), 61.5071N 149.035W. Sm area on E side. No facilities. Free. 14 day limit. Restriction against rigs over 10,000 lbs. Pkg in open near riv, or under trees. Good Verizon & ATT. Many ATV users on wkends/holidays. MM 0 at SR-1/Glenn Hwy MM 49.5, goes W & N, paved, to MM 17, then narrow steep winding gravel to MM 39, then paved to MM 49 to jct w/ SR-3/Parks Hwy MM 71.2 at Willow.
