BD (NF) along paved rd between Patagonia & Harshaw. 14-day limit. 1) Go E out of Patagonia on Harshaw Rd, past Patagonia RV Park on L, & after lg Coronado NF sign, established primitive free BD sites along both sides of rd for next 3 mi. Some require high clearance rig. Then, TR on rd to Harshaw, go ~3 mi, a few more sites after the private property. 2) Instead of turning R on dirt rd to Harshaw, go straight towards the San Rafael Valley, find some free BD areas on R after the private property. The San Rafael Valley is ranches on mostly undisturbed grassland, & goes down to the Mexican border to a “state park” area that is closed & the ghost town Lochiel which is closed on both sides, but you can make a loop back up the “rd S of Harshaw” mentioned above, find the ghost town of Duchesne & great mountain views/driving.
