No stay limit or other regulations posted. Vehicle access to Petersburg is via Alaska Marine Hwy ferry from Ketchikan or Juneau. From ferry terminal, TR (S) on Mitkof Hwy (paved to end). MM 10.6, 21-Mile Loop Rd (FR-6235, gravel), loops back to Mitkof Hwy at MM 20.4. Go 12.1 mi from 1st jct (8.3 mi from 2nd) to LeConte Glacier Overlook. 2 sites, tables, fire pits – sm rigs only. Spectacular overlook of Frederick Sound & LeConte Glacier on a clear day. Also along the Loop Rd are 3 trailheads for Sand, Hill, & Crane Lakes, pkg at each, most no restrictive signs. 26, TR on unmarked gravel rd at N56 32.427 W132 40.897, Green’s Camp Rec Area, CG. 30 gravel sites, tables, fire rings. Vault toilets, trash cans. No W. Heavily wooded. Some waterfront sites w/ excellent views of Sumner Strait, adjacent islands & Wrangell. Most sites best for sm-med rigs, but a few OK for 35’+ rig. Some sites not too level.
