Go ~7.5 mi on US-67, TR (E) on SR-172 (paved), go 1.2 mi, on L (N). 36.94006 -90.43791. Rd in goes thru lg puddle of water, passable. Sm turnaround loop & pkg on grass (some areas soft when wet). Lake Wappapello SP, 2 CGs. 15 day limit w/in 30. 5 mi W of town on US-60/67, US-67 splits from 60 & heads N. Go ~7.5 mi on US-67, TR (E) on SR-172 (paved), go 7 mi to SP. From Greenville, go 14.5 mi S on US-67 to SR-172, TL, go 7 mi to SP. 36.93976 -90.33427. Great hiking trails, lake access. Sm marina store, snack bar, boat rentals. Good Verizon LTE. 1) Ridge CG. 49 gravel E-only sites (some 50A), tables & fire rings. W spigots, flush toilets, showers, laundry, D & rinse W. $10-20. OK for lg rigs. Mostly wooded.
2) Asher Creek CG. 26 sites (22 E-only, 4 non-E). W spigots, flush toilets, showers, D & rinse W. $10-24 ($2/nite discount age 65&+). Closed Nov-Mar. Access rd paved but extremely steep, may be difficult for lg rigs. Boat ramp.

Chaonia Landing CG, S end of Lake Wappapello (COE). 12 sites, tables, grills, lantern hooks. Central W. Flush toilets. $10, S/A Pass 1/2. 14-day limit w/in 30 at Lake Wappapello. Open all yr except entire area may be flooded if lake is high, call ahead for info: Office: 573-222-8562, Info line: 222-8139, Visitor Ctr: 222-8773; Ranger: 778-5404. 5 mi W of town on US-60/67, US-67 splits from 60 & heads N. Go ~7.5 mi on US-67, TR (E) on SR-172 (paved), go 3.5 mi, then go 2.8 mi N on SR-W (paved, some parts signed SR-172), drive thru paved boat ramp pkg lot (signed Day Use), pass “Road Ends in Water” sign, go 0.2 mi on gravel rd, straight to boat ramp (do not take lg rig up hill to R). 36.97344 -90.35473. Sites 5,6&7, to R of boat ramp, OK for lg RVs (pull-along), do not go further to R, no turnaround. ATT 1 bar. Flush toilets at paved boat ramp pkg lot. W at host site. D in SP 4 mi SE. PHOTO. Redman Creek CG, S end of Lake Wappapello (COE). 109 paved, mostly-unlevel shaded EWS sites, tables, firepits. Showers, restrooms, dumpsters on each side of hwy. D & potable W across from entrance to sites 1-40. $24 ($48 for dbl site), S/A Pass 1/2. All sites require reservation before setting up. 14-day limit w/in 30 at Lake Wappapello. Open Apr-Oct. Go ~6 mi E of town on US-60, TL (N) on SR-T (some maps show as SR-AA). Go ~11 mi. 36.92278 -90.2875. Paved CG rd. Sites 1-40 on W side of hwy, 41-109 on E side. Most sites can fit lg rigs. Peoples Creek CG, S end of Lake Wappapello (COE). 57 shaded EW & EWS sites, tables, fire ring/grills. $24, S/A Pass 1/2. No off-season fee reduction. 14-day limit w/in 30 at Lake Wappapello. Lower CG may be closed in winter. Go ~6 mi E of town on US-60, TL (N) on SR-T (some maps show as SR-AA). Go ~11 mi to where SR-T makes sharp R turn, go straight onto SR-D, go ~1 mi to CG on L. N36.94396 W90.27377. Most sites OK for lg rigs. Some RVs may drag at the bottom of the hill upon exiting the upper CG. Limited lake view. Moderately shaded. Verizon OK.
