From Deering Rd that connects Port Renfrew w/ Lake Cowichan (narrow but paved, no center line) ~9 mi N of Port Renfrew take the turn toward the San Juan Riv CG (RSTBC), signed Nine Mile Junction. Go ~4 mi (6 km) on graded gravel, keeping R at the Lens Main Triangle (signed) onto the Bear Main. After crossing the long bridge over the San Juan Riv, 1) San Juan Riv CG (RSTBC), immed on L. 5 sm riverfront sites, tables, outhouse. $10, age 65+ & disabled 1/2. N48 35.2968 W124 11.1705. 2) For free BD, continue on the gravel rd another 0.2 mi, look for 2 turns into a gravel pit area on R.
