4) Chance Cove PP, pkg lot. Free (REPORT NEEDED if Vehicle Permit required, see NL Note 3 below). No stay limit posted. Tables, trashcans, pit toilets. Go ~6 km on gravel/dirt rd w/ potholes. Lg pkg area. From Hwy 10 take Cape Race Rd ~0.9 mi S, until pavement ends, then go 0.3 mi on gravel rd to site on L. N46 41.6475 W53 15.3989. Visitor ctr recommends sm vehicles only due to weight restriction on 3 bridges (3500 lb/axle). Great upper level ocean view across rd. Gravel rd is easy to this point, but then deteriorates badly w/ lots of potholes & a steep hill ~3-4 mi going in w/ a difficult climb on return. Several sites w/ beautiful ocean views, but sm 4WD only.
