This is not the pkg lot next to the Visitor Ctr. 36′ absolute max length (posted 27′, may be enforced when busy), most sites for sm-med rigs. 7200′ elev. Sporadic Verizon. Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, BD on dirt/gravel in open field, & sm rigs can camp among trees. Portajohns in some areas. Showers during office hrs. $15. No stay limit. No reservations for BD. ~29 mi S of Gallup on SR-602, TL (E) on SR-53, go ~12 mi to Ramah, then 10 more mi, TR (S) on BIA-125, go 8 mi (thru Mountainview), TR on gravel BIA-120 (bumpy & muddy after rain, lg gravel lot at turn onto BIA-120 recommended for lg rigs), Sanctuary is 4 mi on L. Or, from Albuquerque take I-40 to Grants, take x81, TL on SR-53, go ~50 mi. ~2 mi past El Morro NM, look for a sign for Mountainview & Pine Hill, TL onto BIA-125, follow above. 34.91387 -108.48563. All animals are in enclosures, can only be viewed on a guided tour ($). Excellent food at Ancient Ways Cafe near El Morro but very limited hrs.
