NB on I-25, x451, go W to Visitor info ctr (free wifi in pkg lot), TR on 2nd St (I-25Bus), go N to middle of downtown historic district, TR (E) on Park St, cross 1st St into lot. Or, SB on I-25, x454, TR on 2nd St (I-25Bus), TL on Park St. Pkg lot is next to train sta. N36 54.114 W104 26.263. Sm rigs only due to size of lot. Security lights, 1 blk from police sta. Strong Verizon. Coffee shop w/ wifi on S side of Park St between 2nd & 1st Sts. Very quiet Amtrak train stops during nite. Lg rig might park along 1st st by train sta. I-25 x452, go 3.5 mi E on SR-72, TL (N) on SR-526, go 3 mi to Alice Lake CG. 36.95925 -104.3863. 12 gravel EW (boil water) sites, 4 BD (tent/van only) & overflow BD sites. Vault toilets. D. All but 3 sites reservable (877-664-7787 or nmparks.com, $14). Elev ~7000′.
1 mi further on SR-526 TL on good dirt/gravel rd, go ~2 mi up the side of the canyon to Soda Pocket CG. 36.97255 -104.394. Lg rigs OK in most conditions. 24 lg BD sites. Showers near visitor ctr. Vault toilets. Many w/ great views of canyon. Park has many hiking trails. Elev ~8000′.
