From I-5 go W on SR-299 to Visitor Ctr & entrance (MM 16.5). TL (W) on JFK Memorial Dr which goes over dam. Go ~3.9 mi, TR to BD area. N40 36.882 W122 34.526. I-5 x678A, go 1.5 mi W on SR-44 to downtown Redding, go ~8 mi W on SR-299 (toward Eureka) to Visitor Ctr, then continue ~5 mi W on SR-299, TL into CG. Do not turn into tent camping area.
