BD $10, E sites $15, pay iron ranger near D site. 7-nite limit unless approved for longer (depends on if there is a lg event scheduled). EB on SR-5, TL on 23rd St (becomes St Maries Ave), TL at unnamed road toward FG bldgs, continue to R on rd descending to lg flat shady grassy area. 5 signed well-spaced 30A EW sites run in a line N from D site. Also unshaded flat grassy area above the CG signed “Horse Trailers” has 5 15/30/50A EW spaces, RV may be able to use w/ permission. WB on SR-5, bear R just past 23rd St (this turn is too sharp for EB RVs), continue on descending rd. Contact re: availability, 208-582-2217. Caution: for 12 mi W of St Maries, SR-5 is narrow, very winding, 25-35 MPH blind curves, much commercial truck & logging truck traffic, some underpasses labeled “Single Lane for Trucks & Buses”. Huckleberry CG (BLM). 33 EW sites on paved pads (7 are pullthru), also BD overflow pkg lots. Tables, firerings. D ($5 even if camping). $23 w/ E, S/A Pass $16. $14 no E, S/A Pass 1/2. All but 4 sites reservable, recreation.gov. Open all yr. ~30 mi E of town on N side of FR-50 (St Joe River Rd.). OK for lg rigs, some sites OK for satellite. Free wifi. Shadowy Saint Joe CG (NF). 14 lg BD sites. Potable W, vault toilets. $20, S/A Pass 1/2. From town, take SR-3 N across riv bridge, TR on St Joe River Rd/FR-50, go 10 mi. Christmas Tree Rec Area, pkg areas. No facilities. Free. No signs. NB toward town on SR-3, as you start noticing homes, watch for Rec Area sign on R, then sm green st sign for Evergreen Terrace on R. TR on paved rd, almost immed veer R at fork onto wide gravel rd, go 0.5 mi to jct w/ smaller gravel rd on L. TL, go ~0.6 mi on good gravel to junction w/ OHV trails on L. 2 sm rigs fit in clearing w/out blocking trails. Fire ring. Shady, semi-private. Debby Beatty #135578 stayed Jul 17.
