Waterfront Park (city), 9 CGs in town w/ RV pkg. Only Resurrection CG has E. Some tables, firerings. Toilets. D (free, across from Marathon CG). Non-E $40/camping unit, EW sites $55-65. All spots must be reserved & paid in advance via Campspot. 14 day limit. Most other pkg areas in town signed No O/N. Over fee criteria but best option in a town that is a destination for some. Info boards w/ map, rules, etc at Resurrection CG. Extensive fire & dog rules, read carefully. No alcohol in CGs, $300 fine. RVs must park at designated concrete bumper stops, perpendicular to the water. Heavily used wkends. Great views, easy walk to town. Free wifi at visitors ctr, many restaurants, & library. CGs: 907-224-4055. Directions: Coming S into town on SR-9/Seward Hwy, 1) TL (E) at sign to boat harbor, & to Harbor Side CG. Showers at Harbormaster’s office bldg in the Small Boat Harbor.
2) Or, continue S on SR-9, TL (E) on D St (becomes Ballaine Blvd), Marathon CG is on L (NE) at B St, & across st (N60.11054 W149.43791) is D, W, dumpsters.
3) Continuing S on Ballaine, Pat Ray Williams Park CG on R (W) at A St, mainly for tents, 20′ max RV.
4) Continuing S on Ballaine, Resurrection CG on L (E) just after A St, has E, showers ($2 per 10 min), flush & portable toilets, paved walking trail, grass at water’s edge, & is close to downtown. Immed to S is a tent-only area. PHOTO.
5) Ballaine continues S & bears R becoming Railway Ave, immed to L (S) is Iditarod CG.

TO TERN LAKE JUNCTION: SR-9/Seward Hwy. Many pullouts overlooking Resurrection Bay, RAs & CGs. MM 3.2, go E on Nash Rd, 2.5 mi, S side, gravel pullout, 2 lg rigs. At 2.9 mi, paved pullout, 2 lg rigs. 3.3 mi, paved pullout, 1 lg rig. 4, sm fairly level gravel pullout w/ view of bay, no restrictive signs. 5.1 mi, Spring Creek CG (CP) on R. N60.08923 W149.3563. Undesignated gravel pkg on oceanfront. $15. Portajohn, trash service. Some areas lumpy, some unlevel. Huge, can hold dozens. Views across bay of Seward. On the bay fishing. MM 3.7, go W on Exit Glacier Rd/Herman Leirer Rd. Many paved pullouts where RV O/N pkg is allowed, 8-day limit, out 72 hrs. Most next to riv, lg enough for multiple RVs. Very quiet at night, good wildlife watching (eagles, bear, moose, coyote). At 1.2 mi, 60×600′ gravel pullout on L, on Resurrection Riv bank. 10-20 rigs.good Verizon (none further in), N60.16009 W149.44553, ignore unofficial “No Camping” signs bolted to trees. 3.4 mi, gravel river bed. Sm rigs only. Locally known as Two Rocks. Short 100′ rd is very rough, suggest walking first. Opens onto over 10 acres of river bed. No signs. No Verizon. 3.6, both sides of rd, N60.17072 W149.5134. S side is along riv bank. Each side 10+ rigs. Limited Verizon. 4.5, next to riv, N60.17801 W149.53575. 5, S side of hwy, narrow entry rd between boulders to huge gravel bar along Resurrection Riv. No facilities. Sm rigs only due to narrow entry & rough access further in. Areas to L & R of entry point. Stay on high spots, some areas flood after rain. 6, both sides of rd, N60.18673 W149.57715. 6.5, viewpoint, 2-ended, best view of Exit Glacier, No Camping signs (not an O/N location), N60.19075 W149.58647. 11.5, Resurrection Riv trailhead, views of Exit Glacier, pit toilet, N60.19455 W149.58769. 29, E side, in Moose Pass just N of grocery, sm gravel pkg area. Sm bldg that looks like outhouse but isn’t. 2 lg rigs.
30.2, go E at N end of guardrail on easy to miss narrow gravel rd. Opens up into lg level gravel area beside Trail Lake. Space for several RVs, plenty of turnaround room for lg rigs. Good lake & mtn views, quiet except for distant hwy & occasional trains. Brian & Kitty Benzar #108579 stayed Aug 15.
