Cold Springs CG (NF). 23 back-in & pullthru sites, tables, grills. Central W pump. Vault toilets. Trash service. $21 (+$2 holidays), S/A Pass 1/2. Xtra vehicle $10. Reservable rec.gov. 14 day limit. At W end of town on US-20/SR-126, TL on SR-242 signed to McKenzie Pass (vehicles over 35′ prohibited 13 mi in), go 3.9 mi to CG on R. Look closely for sign. Paved interior rd, cinder site pads. Tight turns, low branches, sm-med rigs only. Heavily shaded, 2 sm streams. Lightly used except for holidays & special events in town. Very little traffic/noise. Verizon 0-2 bars. Several FS vehicles passed by, no problems. ~16 mi W of town on SR-242 (combined max length 35”), ~2 mi W of McKenzie Pass/Dee Wright Observatory, S side of rd. 44.24950 W 121.83721. Ray Benson Sno-Park. 5 lg paved pkg areas. Vault toilets. See OR NOTE 3 below. ~20 mi NW of town on US-20/SR-126, go 1 1/2 mi S on paved FR-2690 (signed Hoodoo Ski Area), TL into Sno-Park. N44.40536 W121.86246. Near Hoodoo Ski Area, many OHV trails, surrounded by forest. Many mosquitoes.
