(Vancouver Is) Tahsis Rd, BD sites. No facilities. Free. No stay limit posted. Head Bay Main (locally called Tahsis Rd), ~66 KM from PH-28 in Gold River to Tahsis, is gravel, steep & winding. Visitor Ctr in Gold River has a free handout showing points of interest along the way, incl Upana Caves. 1) Conuma Riv. 1 lg level site & 1 sm humpy site, both overlook riv. From Tahsis Rd turn at sign opposite KM 28. Lg site go R at fork, sm site go L. Brian & Kitty Benzar #108579 viewed Aug 14. 2) Malaspina Lake. Beautiful lakefront site, easy walk to water’s edge for canoe/kayak launch. From Tahsis Rd turn at sign “Malaspina Lake Trail” between KM 12-13. Site is 0.2 mi from main rd, on beach next to earthquake research equipment. A few small overhanging branches. Rd past this site not recommended for lg rigs.
