Mason Point boat ramp, lg pkg lot. Free (cost posted for using ramp but not just for pkg). Go ~15 mi W from town on SR-72, just past entry to Choke Canyon SP. TR (N) on Rec Rd 7, go ~3 mi to lot at boat ramp. N28.47937 W98.37404. Or, coming from W (Tilden), go 7.5 mi on SR-72, just after FM-99 TL on Rec Rd 7, follow above. Very quiet. Tips Park (CP). 25 sites w/ 30/50A FHU, 10 tent sites. Pullthrus for O/Ners. Showers/restroom but was locked Mar 16. $15 FHU. I-37 x69, go W on SR-72 into town, merge w/ US-281 from the N, continue W on SR-72 where US-281 splits to the S, go past a refinery, cross a bridge, CG entrance is on L (S) side of hwy. Shaded (lg live oak trees). Sometimes low E voltage. Lg Valero refinery close by, somewhat noisy, closing windows helps. Can call ahead to verify availability: 361-786-2528.
