Pullouts, I-90 EB only. 1) just before x66, pullout right beside hwy.
2) near MM 70, long pullthru.
3) between MM 71 & 72, historical marker & 2-ended pullout.
4) W of MM 73, lg pullout.

Lg-rig pkg areas in town. No facilities. Free. 1 night limit. Owned by Trans-Pacific RR, OK to park per Visitor Ctr staff, esp for lg rigs they don’t want filling up their lot. I-90 x61, WB: TR then immed L at bottom of ramp. 1st pkg area on R. EB: U-turn at bottom of ramp or use Visitor Ctr lot to turn around. Go under I-90, TL, 1st pkg area on R. 2nd, larger area 0.2 mi further, on R. Reasonably level dirt areas. Room for a few lg rigs at 1st spot, more at 2nd. Next sm riv. Moon Pass Rd, pkg areas. No facilities. Free. No signs. I-90 x61, go E on I-90Bus/Front St, TR (S) on 2nd St, TR (W) on High Bank St, TL (S) on King St (becomes Moon Pass Rd/FR-456/Placer Creek Rd), go ~2.5 mi S of town to lg trailhead pkg area on R, just after Pulaski Historic Site & Trail (well signed), just before paved rd becomes nicely graded dusty gravel. ~10.5 mi S of town, to Moon Pass, room for ~2 med rigs to park at Pass, along side of rd. Nice forested area, nice views, 4900’+ elev. Moon Pass Rd is maintained to Avery, follows old RR grade, & uses original RR tunnels. Debby Beatty #135578 stayed Jul 17.
~10.5 mi S of town, TR (W) on Slate Creek Rd/FR-985). Nice spots at 1.5 mi (cool, shaded) & 2 mi (lg area, hiking trail to St Joe Divide), but rd is strictly single lane w/ very steep sides & minimal turn-around options. OK for sm truck campers, vans. Debby Beatty #135578 viewed Jul 17.
