Just S of town, just N of MM 222 on US-95, look for Hammer Creek sign, go W, at the “Y” (less than 1 mi) veer L on Doumeco Rd, go across bridge over Salmon Riv. CG is ~1 mi after crossing bridge. Slate Creek Rec Site (BLM). 2 back-in (up to 35′) & 3 pullthru (any size) sites. Covered tables, BBQs. TO NEW MEADOWS: BD. No facilities. Free. Along this stretch of US-95, except between Pollock and Riggins posted Day Use Only, are several pullouts & ID Fish & Game Sportsman Access areas w/ camping (look for the signs with a tent). They range from lg grassy areas like Twin Bridges (has its own listing) to sm dirt/rock areas. Also several RAs w/ flush toilet, 16 hr limit.
