No stay limit & no need to register, per front desk. 1 blk SE of US-95 (Winnemucca Blvd) on S side of 4th St, between Lay St & Aiken St, across from Winners Inn Motel, 1 blk E of Casino. ~1/2 blk paved lot signed Free Parking. Water Canyon Rec Area CG (BLM). ~12 dirt/gravel dispersed sites, tables (some covered), fire rings. Vault toilets, dumpsters. No W. Free. 3 day limit (not always enforced). I-80 x176 or 178, go into town on Winnemucca Blvd, turn SE on Hanson St which becomes Water Canyon Rd after ~2 mi. Continue ~2 mi on Water Canyon Rd to the CG. N40.9313 W117.67707. Good gravel rds in CG. Sites are gravel, not real level. Some sites OK for lg rigs, but turnaround may be tight – scout 1st. Ranger recommended sites 2 & 4. Most are satellite-OK. Verizon signal OK 1st 4 sites. Hiking, mtn biking, horseback riding. Beautiful view of mtns & city lights.
